WELCOME SHARKFESTER’S
This year’s event is simpler than previous years to keep expenses at a minimum, but still have quality activities and provide an atmosphere of friendship and fun.
Friday evening, the Double Tree Hotel will host free wine tasting in the Library. Then, individual and no-host dining at the Bacchus Restaurant in the hotel, the nearby Hana Japanese, or any of the fine local restaurants.
Saturday morning is the People’s Choice Car Show/Contest in our dedicated parking lot at the south side of the hotel. ALL E-24’s of paid registrants are automatically entered in the Contest. The rules will be available at the event.
After the unique Car Contest, we’ll take a scenic fun drive to Gundlach-Bundshu

Winery in Sonoma for sandwiches on their patio, followed by an optional pre-paid
tour of their caves, vineyards, and wine-tasting.
Afterwards, we are free to explore the scenic town of Sonoma, visit the “Italian Faire” at Sebastiani Winery, see the well-known Ravenswood Winery, or other points of interest.
Some may want to visit The Wine Room in Kenwood (one of Wynn’s favorites), home of Moondance Cellars, Tommy Smothers /Remick wines. Other adventurers, could tour Jack London Historic Park in Glen Ellen to see the famous author’s property and his shattered dreams.
Saturday evening is the Gala Buffet Dinner on the lake at the Latitude Island Grill, within easy walking distance of our host hotel. After dinner, awards will be presented to the People’s Choice winners.
After an evening of camaraderie at either of two lounges at the Doubletree, we’ll have an optional no-host breakfast drive to the Dillon Beach Café at Dillon Beach on the coast.
There is Golf available Friday AM and Sunday AM at the Foxtail Golf Club. There are two eighteen hole golf courses adjacent to the hotel. Because of a golf tournament, we can only play 9 holes Friday morning for a $ 35 green fee. Sunday’s cost is $ 75, including a golf cart with GPS. We HAVE NOT made any golfing reservations.
